Is NakedMD Med Spa Too Cheap to Be True? Honest Botox, Filler, and Microneedling Review

NakedMD kept following me around the internet with prices that honestly looked fake for Beverly Hills, especially compared to what most Los Angeles med spas charge for Botox, filler, microneedling, and PRF treatments. I was deeply skeptical of the viral med spa at first, spent weeks digging through reviews, Reddit threads, TikToks, and before-and-after photos, and then eventually decided to test the treatments myself.

So I went on a deep dive fact-finding mission.

I started with Google reviews, as one does, but wanted to make sure these reviews were real - by clicking through each reviewer to see if they were a real, active user. I read through as many Reddit threads as I could, and overall, the reviews were a resounding yes. I started cautiously with a small Botox touch-up at the Beverly Hills NakedMD location, fully expecting mediocre results, and instead ended up with some of the best Botox I have ever had - my forehead was frozen. Then I went back for filler, microneedling with PRF, Sculptra, and kept escalating from there.

Before and after results from 2 Microneedling with PRF sessions, Botox maintenance, and a half vial of lip filler.

1. Quick Verdict:

Is NakedMD Legit?

Yes. After multiple treatments over more than a year, the Beverly Hills location felt clean, professional, medically legitimate, and surprisingly consistent.

Are the Prices Real?

Mostly yes, although some specials apply to generic neurotoxins or fillers, while premium brands like Juvederm or Restylane cost more.

Best Treatments I Tried

  • Botox
  • Microneedling with PRF
  • Sculptra + PRF

Biggest Downsides

  • occasional upselling
  • long waits

To be abundantly clear, all photos are straight from my iPhone, with zero makeup, filters, or any editing, except a slight color correction to match my skin tones between photos, making the before and afters as neutral and honest as possible.

2. NakedMD Beverly Hills MedSpa Review

To start off, it is a strictly no-tipping establishment, which I greatly appreciate, as I really hate the awkward part of a service trying to figure out a tip. At my first appointment, they had me do a Zoom assessment with a Nurse Practitioner before I could receive any treatments, which I understand as a protective measure, but overall felt merely perfunctory. However, this could be because I have had treatments prior and don't have any health issues, but it was definitely not an in-depth medical analysis.

I can only personally speak for the Beverly Hills Los Angeles location, but overall, the services and experience have far exceeded my expectations. An honest breakdown:

Positives:

  • Very, very good prices, especially compared to other LA Med Spas - some treatments are less than half of what they cost nearby.
  • Excellent procedures, I have zero complaints about any of the treatments I have had so far.
  • When you call, you speak to a live human that throughly answered my questions when deciding on treatments.
  • For a couple of months, they had a free facial special when you bought online, which was an amazing treat (I keep checking to see if that comes back; I'm not sure if it's seasonal.)

Negatives:

  • There is a small amount of upselling, which can feel awkward, but overall, very manageable and not as aggressive as I've seen elsewhere.
  • Sometimes the wait in the treatment room feels excessively long.
  • You need to fill out multiple forms for every appointment.
  • They don't offer any laser treatments - something I really want to get into, but they are priced very high. I would be very curious to see how they price these.
  • Advertised prices are for generic brands of 'Botox' and filler, and for specific name-brands like Juvederm and Restylane, there are additional charges.

3. NakedMD Microneedling With PRF Review | Price: $299/Session

Microneedling with PRF Treatment in Progress.

Don't you want to get stabbed by thousands of tiny needles, and then have your own blood plasma rubbed into your bleeding face? As much as I never thought aging would happen to me personally, I felt like I really needed to add some more serious steps to my routine beyond standard Botox and skincare to fight the perpetual clock as much as possible. This was my first Microneedling experience.

First, they apply a numbing cream to your face and let that sit for around 20 minutes before the nurse comes in for your stabbing. You can have the needling on its own, or add PRF or Salmon DNA for an additional $100. You can also do both for $200, but I felt like my money would be better spent splitting them up since the two would need to be layered on top of each other. For PRF, they draw a small vial of your blood, take it away to extract the plasma, and then rub your own plasma into the tiny needle holes.

Overall, I would give the pain a 3/10 or so rating; you can feel it, but most areas are very minimal.

Immediately After NakedMD Microneedling with PRF Treatment.

After, my face was very red and felt hot and tender. You are not supposed to wash your face for up to 24 hours after to let the plasma work as much as possible, so don't plan on needing to be seen that day. Before bed, I layered my face with DeliKate recovery serum and a thick, gentle moisturizer.

On day 2, my face is still very red and a bit tender. Once I did need to go out to an event the day after my treatment, and was able to cover maybe 70-80% of the redness with standard make-up. It's doable, but you're definitely not going to look the best you've ever had.

I usually wake up the morning of day 3 with the redness significantly reduced, but with a bit of a fine sandpaper texture on my face - by this point, I feel like you can look mostly normal with a bit of makeup. Over the next few days, this fades down, and within a week, your skin feels fresh and highly exfoliated.

It's not a procedure where you see results immediately, as it takes a while for the process to force your skin to produce more collagen. I began with 3 sessions about 4-6 apart. I wasn't obsessing with watching my progress, but when going through the sporadic photos I have taken was incredibly surprised at the difference

Before and After 2 Microneedling with PRF sessions, and one Undereye PRF injection at NakedMD.

One thing I absolutely hate is when before and after photos do not have the same lighting, which, unfortunately, is something I see in probably 80% of the photos you can find for every kind of aesthetic procedure or product. It is infuriating. I didn't start out to track my progress, but when I realized I should, I made sure to try to match my photos as closely as I could - because honestly fuck the charlatans and liars. These are directly in front of the same window, but because they are a year apart, the phone was different, so I color corrected the images to match my skintones as much as possible.

I notice the biggest improvements in discoloration/light sun spots and texture in my lower face, as well as less hollowing in my undereye. The PRF injection was an impulse add-on (I mentioned the upselling), but looking at these, I think I'm going to want to add a couple more sessions.

I just had a fourth Microneedling session about 3.5 months after my last one, and will update with a new photo after this one has a couple of weeks to settle in and begin production.

4. NakedMD Botox Review | Price: $100 - $240

Age 26, before any aesthetic treatments ever / 12 years later at age 38!

I have been getting Botox since I was 28, when I noticed a vertical line wrinkle above my left eyebrow that never went away - and saw that same asymmetrical wrinkle very deepened on my mom's face. I started with a starter dose of 20 units, and have pretty consistently kept that up every 4 or so months since. A few years later, I went up to 30 units when my upper forehead started moving more, and have kept my dose mostly between 20-30 units since.

At NakedMD, you can prepay for a specific area or by the unit, or be assessed in the office and then just pay for what you receive. I have done it both ways, and one thing I seriously appreciated was that my in-office assessment did not feel artificially inflated (I've had friends go places that suggest 80-100 units??) I believe one touch-up I received was only about 16 units, and I still felt very frozen.

I haven't ventured out to all of the new, other Botox treatments yet, but am very curious about the Nefertiti Lift!

5. NakedMD Filler Review | Price: $149-349 for half vial

Before lip filler / Swollen immediately after half vial lip filler / Results 2 months later.

I initially found the Medspa through the $199 half syringe lip filler special - when my old injector retired, I really struggled with finding someone who would do half vials, which is all I have ever put in my lips at a time, as I want a very natural and undetectable result. Before coming here, I had not had any filler in my lips for about 5 years (but they were still noticeably fuller than my virgin lips, particularly my top lip).

At this point, I am pretty satisfied with the size of my lips, but do not like the additional wrinkles that have appeared with aging, and am interested in filler mostly to smooth the wrinkles,  not to make my lips significantly larger. When explaining what I wanted, the injector suggested upgrading to Restalyne for the most natural result (upselling again, but I believe with a genuine purpose?), which I did for a bit extra.

6. NakedMD Sculptra Review (Naked Glow Sculptra + PRF Combo) | Price: $699

I keep hearing such good things about Sculptra, as a biostimulator instead of classic filler, I finally just decided to try it. Instead of just filling, Sculptra is supposed to create more of your own collagen. And unlike filler, where you see results immediately, you need to wait about 3 months for the process to really work - so I will update this one in a few months!

I booked the Naked Glow Sculptra + PRF Combo, which is the same price as just a vial of Sculptra (A limited-time special, maybe? I'm not sure, but the deal seemed like a no-brainer. This was one of the times I called the office to confirm - it's the exact same amount of Sculptra, with the added benefits.)

Like other PRF, they draw your blood to extract the plasma, but then mix it with the Sculptra to fill 3 vials, and inject it all. I spread mine across my smile lines, cheekbones, and 'mid-face' (the hollow out the sides of your nose). I did this at the same appointment as Microneedling a few days ago, so I haven't been able to get a clear idea of how it all comes together yet. Stay tuned!

Is this enough information? 🫠

As I TLDRed at the beginning of this post, I have paid for 100% of these procedures and have not partnered with the company in any way. I know I spent so long researching, I wanted to put all of that effort out there for the next diligent, bargain-hunting, skin-obsessed girly pop digging around for what the catch is.
