Airport downtime can be exhausting, but Priority Pass changes the equation. A membership gives you access to thousands of lounges worldwide, transforming layovers into opportunities to recharge, eat, or simply sit in quiet comfort away from crowded gates. For frequent travelers, it’s one of the most worthwhile subscriptions, especially in airports where amenities are otherwise limited. Having consistent access to Wi-Fi, food, and calm makes even the longest travel days far more bearable. 

The best thing about Priority Pass as an app is that you can download a digital card, not needing to bring a physical card with you (which cannot be said for using the Amex lounges.) The more you can streamline access to everything directly into your phone, the better!

10. Netflix - The Most Streamlined Offline Entertainment

Netflix’s downloadable content feature is a quiet game-changer for long flights, overnight trains, or hotels with unreliable Wi-Fi. Pre-downloading shows or movies keeps you entertained without draining your data plan or relying on in-flight options that rarely satisfy. Whether it’s comfort viewing or catching up on a series, it makes the idle moments between destinations feel less like wasted time and more like intentional breaks in the journey.

While many apps have added offline, downloadable ability since Netflix was the first to do so, no one does it better. HBO MAX is notorious for glitching and not letting you access your offline downloads if you aren't connected to Wifi (this has been an issue for years, how they have not fixed it is BEYOND me), and other major streaming apps don't let you download the full catalog, or have similar downloading or loading issues. One thing I love about Netflix is that you can turn on an automatic "downloaded for you" feature, which will download popular movies and shows you haven't watched, so you always have something even if you don't plan ahead.
